Principal: Janine Tirant (CSTD)
Janine the founder of the studio has been operating (teacher, choreographer, costume designer, office administration ) the very successful Performance Plus Dance Centre for 15 years which has flourished to become the biggest studio in Ipswich as well as a reputable name in the South East Qld dance community.
Janine earned her Teachers Diploma through C.S.T.D. in 1999 and has been putting her students through examinations and eisteddfod work with very successful results since. Janine has twice travelled to the United States with students from the studio to perform at Disneyland and also attend classes in New York and La. She is also a guest choreographer for the Ipswich Orpheus chorale and also at other studios throughout Brisbane & North Qld. Janine is also an accomplished dancer herself having performed in many musicals and shows including expo 88. Janine is very passionate about dance and is very proud of what her studio and students have achieved in the last 15 years, Students have gone on to have professional dance careers, participate in so U think U can dance Tv show, perform on cruise ships, accept teacher positions at various studios, accept positions with fulltime sought after courses and represent Australia at the commonwealth games.
Yana has been dancing since the age of 4 and is a past student of the studio having learnt at PPDC since the age of 11. She has taught at PPDC since the age of 15, helping out after school and became a full time teacher in 2003 once finishing year 12. In 2006 Yana gained her Teachers Diploma through C.S.T.D. Yana has also been a part of the very successful Eisteddfod team at PPDC and has also performed in numerous musicals such as Cats, Spamalot, Guys and Dolls.
Yana accompanied the studio on the USA tour in 2005 and also in 2010 performing and participating in classes throughout New York. Yana choreographs group and solo work for the eisteddfod teams and has choreographed the
ST Edmunds/St Marys school musicals for the previous two years. Yana loves sharing her passion and knowledge of dance with the students and is very proud to be part of this studio and accomplishments and looks forward to another wonderful 15 years.
Fiona has been singing and dancing since she was 3 years old. She studied a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education in both Primary and Secondary schooling at the University of Qld at St Lucia in which she received Honours.
During this time she also obtained her Teachers Diploma in Tap. She is the choral Director for the St Edmunds College Boys Choir, the St Marys Show Choir and ST Edmunds & St Marys combined Colleges Choir.
She has taught various styles of dance but mainly teaches Musical Theatre now at PPDC.
Cathy has been a teacher at PPDC for 12 years. She is also a performer at heart and has performed in many musicals and events including Cats and spamalot. Cathy loves teaching the Junior & Intermediate students and is a huge attribute to the studio.
Shalyn has been dancing with PPDC since the age of 5 and is part of the Eisteddfod team in groups and solos . She has performed in numerous musicals such as Cats, Spamalot, Grease, Footloose, Guys and Dolls.. She obtained her Teachers Certificate in Tap in 2010.. Shalyn is also a singing teacher at PPDC.
Chanel has been dancing with PPDC since an early age and is part of the Performance team in groups and solos . Young students look up to
Chanel as much as Chanel enjoys mentoring the young students. Chanel is enthusiastic and the students love being around her.
Jessica has been dancing with PPDC since an early age and is part of the Performance team. Jessica is great with new enrolments when she explains and breaks down steps with endless patience and encouragement.
