Toilets project.
Well its no secrect that we needed new toilets and still do in one section that must be converted to Wheelchair access, however the NEW GIRLS toilets and change room are nearly completed. Painting is being done this weekend and a handful of tiles need grouting and should be complete by next weekend. The students have been using them for a little while now, however not painted or trims finished etc.
We have been working on them since April 2011, and there has been delays due to time constraints. Danniel Lacey only gets every friday off, so we have used those fridays to complete to toilets which has meant a long time in waiting, but we do hope you appreciate the FRESH NEW look and pop down and have a look at all the new fittings.
New tiles walls and floor (wheelchair approved), toilets, vanity basins, industrial toilet rolls, handwasher, all new lighting, new windows with security mesh on the outside to protect the windows from ever being smashed, and a beautiful big mirror in place.
Chris Bichel and Tammy Bichel's dad (Chloe's parents and grandad) have also donated their time to paint these toilets and also obtained the paint for cost to help keep costs down. Thankyou so much Chris, we have kept delaying this lovely man from completing this job for ages.
Please do take the time to have a look and note that the next job on the list is to cover in the back door entry way so there can be no access into the studio via the back door. It has to be a special quick release lock for child safety and thus quite expensive and the door will be covered with Timber palings. We will also continue to renovate the walls on entry to the toilets with time permitting to match it all up nicely with the new toilets and put on a swing door to allow the chnage room to be complete. In Winter we will start working on the Disabled/BOYS toilets slightly differently though, so we don't loose full access to them this time. It will be completed in sections to avoid congestion with the little people of Fridays and Saturdays.
