Fundraising for the 2010 America Trip is underway for those interested. Please help support all fundraising ventures as I would hope other people would do the same for you.
We have our Stars & Stripes Café running so please look out for the yummy food on sale. All the food is reasonably priced and delicious, so it may make a great alternative to the usual take-away food options on those days you don’t feel like cooking dinner.
We also have movie nights, drive-in and a trivia night in planning.
If you have any questions about the America Trip, please make sure you ask me, as a lot of people have already been misinformed from listening to other people.

In March this year, we commenced monthly studio meetings, where everyone is invited to attend and have some input into fundraising activities and other studio matters.
WHEN: 1st Saturday of every month
TIME: 4pm
WHERE: Plantations Cafe, Booval (PA Hotel)
WHO: Everyone
As many of you spend a lot of time at the studio or participating in related dancing events, it is great for you to have the opportunity to voice your opinion, offer advice and assist where appropriate.
Since, July’s scheduled meeting falls in the school holidays, we will not be having the meeting, so the next meeting will be Saturday 1 August 2009. I will remind you all closer to the time.

The $100 Lucky Board will be on the reception counter when the secretaries are there and you can buy a number for $2 that may be drawn out for you to win up to $50. The winning numbers will be drawn once the board is completely sold, then a new board will begin. Students may buy numbers but their parents name will be written on the number. This is an ongoing fundraiser, and for only $2 (the cost of a scratchie) your odds of winning are far better than winning on a scratchie or lotto.

For anyone who is not already aware, we are now selling baked treats at the studio, in addition to the chips, drinks and ice blocks. As per the other items, this works on an honesty system and the profits go toward fundraising for improved facilities and benefits for your children, so please ensure you place your money in the fridge. These make a great alternative for morning or afternoon tea for the children and parents alike.
Different tarts and cakes will be available at different times, so check back regularly and look out for your favourite treat. Currently, there are a variety of items such as:
Lamingtons: $1 / single or $5 / 6-pack
Tarts (various*): $2 each
Meringues: $3 / pack
Truffles (various**): $2.50 /pack
Coconut Ice: $2 /pack
Turkish Delight: $2.50 / pack

We’re giving you a chance to take on the mighty Trivia Master (or Mistress as it may be) in Miss J? That’s right….Trivia Night 2007 is coming. This is a great opportunity to show your friends and how smart you really are, and have a great time doing it.
