Dancing exams are approaching fast, so we will be working extra hard in Term 3 to have them ready early.
DVDs
Each student will receive a DVD of their exams to help with practice at home, so please return any DVD’s from last year. Anyone who is doing exams for the first time will need to pay $5 for an exam DVD.

HOLIDAY EXAM WORKSHOPS
A reminder about our exam workshops coming up in these holidays. We are hoping to try and teach the rest of the exams on these days so we can use Term 3 to correct and perfect them.
All classes are $15 per class, except for Pre Ballet, Primary Ballet, Tinies A & Tinies B which are $10, and will need to be paid for prior to classes (I will collect money on the day).

Here we are again at this time of year, when the kids start to get a little sick of dancing (as well as the teachers) and it’s all steam ahead to learn all their exam work. Exams are great for the students, to give them something to strive for also something to show for all their years of hard work at dancing. We have DVD’s for them again this year, please appreciate the effort I put into doing these for the children as I don’t know of any other studio that does this. We did not need some students DVD’s from last year but if they can keep them for next year that would be great. Obviously the more practice they do, the better they will be. My motto is “You either do it properly or don’t do it at all”. Can parents encourage them to have set times to practice during the week so as not to forget. The more they remember – the faster they learn – the sooner they finish their exam work – the better they feel going into the exam. Obviously all the exam lessons are very important this term so please make sure all students attend all lessons. If they are sick they need to come and watch so they can see what is learnt in that lesson. If they miss a lesson then they need to find out what they missed from the other students as we don’t always have time to go back over it in the next lesson.
The exams will be from 26th to 30th October. I do not choose who goes on what day, but I have tried to accommodate everyone where possible. You will get notes about what to wear and dates & times soon. Please make sure you have all correct gear for exams and if not make sure you order them in plenty of time. Don’t forget to check the receptionists to see if there is any exam clothing for sale.
Thankyou for your support at the seminars, the students enjoyed them and learnt from them too. Also a big thankyou to the parents for the students’ grooming, they all looked great. Thankyou too, to the parents ferried all the students.
Exam results will now be handed out in class in the very next week following the exams. If there is anything that you would like to discuss please contact to me to arrange a time.
