Enrolment day at PPDC is an opportunity for new (and prospective) students and their parents to see the studio, speak to the teachers, browse new and used uniforms, second-hand dancing shoes. Complete an enrolment form and come along Saturday, 23rd January, from 9am to 2pm to see what everyone is raving about.
Existing students and families, please note the day and time in your diaries / phones / calendars etc.

Hello everyone….just another quick reminder about the Studio Meeting tomorrow

If you feel like you are being inundated with reminders about the meeting, then you’re right, but I’m doing this for a reason. I regularly hear people’s complaints, suggestions, rumours etc, so it’s obvious that most people have an opinion on many things relating to dancing or the studio, but so far this year attendance at each of the meetings has been poor to say the least.
I truly believe that it is important for everyone to have an opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of the studio, as many of you spend a lot of time, money and effort here. So, I understand that you may forget, or you may have others things planned on Saturday’s, but if you can make it, then please do…..it really is a good way to relay your brilliant ideas and hear other people’s too.
Studio Meeting is tomorrow, 1 August 2009.

Please don’t hesitate to ask me anything that you are unsure about. Never take what another parent tells you to be true, as they could be wrong and then you have been misinformed. Always ask me.
As I am often teaching, or tied up with other duties, the best way to contact me is by email. This way I can answer you:
1. When I have the time - rather than interrupting someone’s lesson
2. With more accuracy - if your question/request etc is in writing, it makes it easier to refer back to in the event that the response requires more research or thought than a quick yes/no answer.

Once again, I would like to remind everyone to consider our neighbours. Please do not park in or across their driveway/s…..not even for a minute!
I’m sure it is frustrating at times, for them to have so many cars in the street, surrounding their home, so let’s all make it that little bit easier for them by NOT PARKING IN THE NEIGHBOUR’S DRIVEWAY!

The secretaries can answer a lot of your questions, so please don’t hesitate to ask them. However, if you do need to see them, whether it is to ask a question, return costumes or pay fees etc, it is up to you to come during the set hours (which are posted on the wall at the studio). The secretaries all have families of their own to go home to, and so it is unfair of you to expect them to help you outside of their scheduled times.
Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

This board will be on the counter when the secretaries are there and you can buy a number for $2 that may be drawn out for you to win up to $50. The winning numbers will be drawn once the board is completely sold. Students may buy numbers but their parent’s name will be written on the number.

Well, it looks like workplaces are starting to book in their Christmas parties, as I’ve had a few people asking when the Christmas Concert will be. As usual, out Annual Christmas Concert will be held at the Ipswich Civic Hall Saturday, 5 December 2009, and there will be 2 concerts as normal - Matinee & Evening.
Presentation Night will be Friday, 4 December 2009, and I ask everyone to attend as it is a great opportunity for the children to dress up, get on stage and be recognised for all their hard work throughout the year.

Please make sure you clean (and repair if needed) all costumes so that when they are returned after the next eisteddfod they will be in good condition. Also, please let me know if there are any parts missing so they may be replaced in plenty of time for their next use / owner.
