Congratulations to all for a much calmer and swearing-free dressing room at Ipswich Eisteddfod. I know there are times when we all get tired, frustrated and stressed (especially at eisteddfod time), but it is important to think about where you are and who’s around before you say something naughty. Everyone made an effort to improve their dressing room behaviour at Ipswich, and it was a much more pleasant environment for all, so thank you.
Well done also to the 15’s and 20’s who trialed a virtually parent-free dressing room which worked very well and taught the students to work together and help each other. One student commented on how much extra space there was in the dressing room and how quiet it was.
As we all know, children talk to their parents the worst out of all the people they know, so here’s a suggestion to combat this: Try swapping children with another family for the day. This may result in better behaved children and a much more enjoyable eisteddfod for everyone.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students, teachers, parents and helpers for all their hard work leading up to and at the eisteddfods. Obviously, none of us could do it alone, and it is wonderful to see what we can do when we all pull together as a team.
